Austrian Alps Hotels
There are virtually hundreds of millions of tourists who love skiing, tobogganing and all types of wintertime sports. Skiing is by far the most appreciated winter sport of all, being preferred by individuals regardless of age and social background: kids, school boys and girls, adults and even the seniors. Sure, a lot of teenagers will maybe want to use skateboards, lots of smaller kids will choose to slide on the snow on toboggans, but, in general, skiing easily dominates winter sports, as well as tourists are concerned.
And what a fantastic sport it is! The feeling of slight unrest when you go up the ski course on the ski lift chair, the amazing scenery you admire while climbing, waiting to get at the peak as the lighting waits in the clouds… and then, when you’re finally ready to slide, you gaze at the mountain peaks encircling you, and off you go! You swiftly go down the curved incline, with nothing else to think of than yourself, the track and the snow you pierce with your skis.
There’s no doubt about it, this is a fantastic sport, and it’s especially great when you do it in optimum conditions. And, even though it sounds strange, not every place offers the best conditions for ski fans. However, I would like to tell you about Tyrol, a federal state in Austria which is teaming with ski resorts that stand out at this aspect, offering everything a tourist wants or needs in order to feel good while on his/her ski trip. This state of Austria is primarily attractive to ski lovers because of this reason, but this would not be sufficient if there weren’t the awe-inspiring Alps standing proud and tall (and white!) above the little, beautiful villages and towns. The Alps are high up in lots of skiers’ options, due to the fact that they are indeed wonderful displays of the might of nature. With mountain tops well above 3500 meters and great glaciers that have snow all year long, these mountains are a skier’s paradise.
There are many luxury hotels and resorts in the Austrian Alps, especially in the state of Tyrol, and, to be even more precise, around the community of Kitzbuhel, which is 75 km east of the medium-sized city of Innsbruck. It is in this place that “high society skiers” choose to come, due to the fact that the resorts and the three-line ski circuits are fantastic, with professional services, excellent facilities (spa, indoor pools etc). In the summer, these ski resorts transform into cool golf resorts, which is another attraction for business men and other rich people. Nevertheless, you will be surprised to notice that costs are quite interesting in this part of the country, particularly when a tourist makes reservations in due time before his/her vacation.
Tens of thousands of skiers arrive there annually, and they all go back home with a wide smile on their face. They all wish to go back there, and most of them do return the upcoming year, because skiing is an activity that can sometimes become addictive. And it gets even more addictive if the best conditions are furnished for everyone, and everyone enjoys their stay to the maximum.
One of the best Austrian Alps hotels is Grand Tirolia, located in Tyrol Kitzbuhel.
