The south side features popular tourist attractions such as Trinity College, Christ Church and St Patrick’s Cathedrals as well as St Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street. A trip out to Dublin’s suburbs will reward travellers with a view of some beautiful Victorian architecture and a number of upmarket delicatessens and boutiques.

If you’re visiting Dublin with an eye to finding out more about its history, then attractions such as the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology, Dublinia & the Viking World and Dublin Castle are sure to appeal to you. Culture vultures on the other hand, are likely to love whiling away their afternoons in The National Gallery of Ireland, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Dublin Writers Museum and even The Bram Stoker Museum.

No trip to Dublin would be complete without a tour of one of its many traditional distilleries or storehouses. Explore the Guinness Storehouse or Old Jameson Distillery then settle yourself down in one of the many local pubs and bars to enjoy a Guinness poured to perfection. There are plenty of traditional pubs to choose from, many boasting entertainments such as live music, as well as numerous bars and clubs for those who like their night’s out to have a modern flavour.

When choosing hotels in Dublin, you’ll be glad to know the city centre is relatively small and can be negotiated on foot – meaning you won’t have far to travel to enjoy all the wonders of Dublin!
