Golfing in Palmdale, CA
Palmdale, a small town of less than 200,000 people, is located in Los Angeles County, a few hours northeast of the city. It is far enough away from the city to have quaint charm, but close enough for a day trip. Without the distractions of interstates and highways, Palmdale is able to capture the small town feel.
The terrain of Palmdale is great for golfing. There are three main golf courses in the city and surrounding vicinity, as well as plenty of pro shops and clinics. If you are a golfer, Palmdale is a town you certainly do not want to skip.
Desert Aire Golf Course is a regulation size 9-hole course, in Antelope Valley. This course is great for the whole family, from novice to professional. One of the cool things about Desert Aire is the House of Golf pro shop that also has a golf simulator.
Rancho Vista Golf Course is about more than just golf. This 18-hole lush “oasis” was designed by Ted Robinson years ago, and certainly lives up to that reputation. You can become a member of the Player’s Club, or just stop by for a few rounds while you’re in town. (more…)
