You can now experience China’s stunning sights and rich culture, with like-minded travellers. We offer an exciting range of 10 group tours to China, with typically between 8 and 20 passenger all escorted by an English speaking tour leader. From 7-days to 15-days these China tours are ideal for an enjoyable, fun and relaxed visit to this beautiful country. Carefully planned itineraries commencing in Beijing or Shanghai offer fantastic highlights, great hotels and many value-added inclusions. Accommodation is at 3 and 4 star well managed, centrally located hotels. From Harbin in the north within a stone’s throw from Inner Mongolia, to Tibet in the west and Hong Kong in the south-east, we’ve got China covered!

Our most popular China tour for a first time visit is our 9-day Great Wall & Warrior tour. Starting in the capital Beijing you can explore Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, which plays host to Chairman Mao’s great mausoleum. Staring out across Tiananmen from above the Gate of Heavenly Peace is the famous Technicolour portrait of Mao. It is through these gates that one can enter the Forbidden City. Built between 1406 and 1420, it served as the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing dynasties and is said to contain 9999 rooms. No visit on a China tour to Beijing is complete without a drive to the Great Wall of China! Snaking some 6700 kms across barren hills, deserts, mountains and plateaus, the now partially ruinous Great Wall stretches east to west in northern China and is believed to be the longest man made structure in the world. Today, people from all over the world visit to walk on the Great Wall of China, stand on a watchtower and view the wall, winding as far as the eye can see, over the horizon. The Badaling section is perhaps the best preserved and most frequently visited by tourists.

After Beijing it’s onwards towards Xi’an to visit the famous Terracotta Warriors. These were the discovery of Emperor Qin’s army of 2,200 year old terracotta warriors in 1974 by local farmers who happened to be digging a well. More than 7,000 life-sized warriors stand in military formation in excavated pits under the cover of a modern protective hanger, a must-see on any China tour! Finish off in Shanghai, perhaps China’s most modern city. Take a cruise along the Huangpu River and visit the stunning Jade Budha Temple. This excellent well-rounded tour of China has monthly departures from March through to November and is the perfect choice for a first time visit!

Tanjung Benoa, otherwise known as Benoa Peninsula, is one of the most prominent attractions in Indonesia, situated on the Bali’s south-eastern coast. Once a small typical fishing village, the destination has now been transformed into one of the most sought after beach resorts in Indonesia. Located to the north of Nusa Dua, Tanjung Benoa is a picturesque five kilometer long peninsula, boasting of a breathtaking landscape consisting of gorgeous white sandy beach, majestic mountains, and incredible coconut plantations.

Further, Tanjung Benoa is only minutes away from some of the most tourist spots in Bali. For instance, it is just 15 minutes drive away from Kuta and about 25 minutes drive from Sanur. Tanjung Benoa is connected by a narrow bustling road packed with a plethora of upscale hotels, private villas, first class restaurants, and elegant open air restaurants.

The prime draw of Tanjung Benoa is unquestionably its stupendous beach with clean safe waters. The beach is truly a mecca for enjoying a number of water sport activities, from parasailing, wind surfing, and jet skiing to snorkeling, banana boat sailing, and reef fishing. Additionally, the beach provides excellent facilities for diving enthusiasts, with a number of certified diving centers. Apart from these, a plethora of shops operate here in order to make you available all types of rental equipments for enjoying several water sport activities.

But, attractions as well as activities that can be enjoyed in Tanjung Benoa are not just beach and its area, but beyond that. Tanjung Benoa also contains a number of other interesting tourist spots. A visit to the destination would not to be complete without taking a tour to Batubulan, a serene as well as calm village which is well-known for its stone carvings.

You can find here a large number of statues displayed in the street starting from Batubulan village to Tegaltamu. Apart from these stone statues, Batubulan is also renowned for its magnificent shrines. Of which, the most popular is Pura Paseh, which is noted for its exquisite art and architecture. The temple is just few blocks away from the main road. Further, Batubulan provides options to shop items such as textiles, handicraft and carved items, and traditional clothing items. There are also some shops conducting traditional Balinese performances such as Barong and Rangda dances.

Nearby Batubulan village is yet another popular tourist spot, namely, Taman Burung, which is an incredible park. Situated to the north of Tegaltamu, Taman Burung is spread across about two hectares of land, and is home to more than 1000 birds of about 250 different species, which in turn are collected from different parts of the world. Birds of paradise, African Hornbill, Bali Starling, Blue and Gold Macaw, and flamingos are just few among the specialties found here.

Also, within in this bird park is a reptile park, with an amazing collection of reptiles that have been primarily collected from different regions of Africa and Indonesia. Among the residents here are piton snake, monitor lizard, komodo, mega snakes, and crocodiles. A fine restaurant and several gift shops can also be found within the park. In short, with these rare bird and reptile species, the park is really worth a visit.

Points of interest in Tanjung Benoa also include the Bali Golf and Country Club, which is in turn is Asia’s one of the most popular golf courses. Equally fabulous would be to take a tour to the quiet port, with village-like atmosphere. Likewise, spiritual travelers should not miss to take a tour to the Chinese Buddhist Temple found here. Further, while your stay at Tanjung Benoa, take a tour to Serangan, otherwise known as Turtle Island. The focal point of this spot is a temple dating back to 16th century.

Above all, Tanjung Benoa is much famed for its world class restaurants serving sumptuous sea food specialties.

When comes to accommodation, Tanjung Benoa allows guests to choose from an array of accommodation choices. As mentioned earlier, many of the hotels in the area are concentrated around the beach area. Many of the hotels and resorts in the area come with a range of options such as double rooms, single rooms, and villas, all of which are attached with amenities such as air conditioning, direct dial telephone, iron and ironing board, television, in-room safe, king-size bed, and round the clock room service. In addition, some of the most sophisticated hotels offer a variety of dining options such as daily theme buffet dinner, beach restaurants, and relaxing bars.

For those ready to go on a well-deserved holiday to Bali should know if they need an Indonesia visa. For most nationalities this can be arranged upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. The single-entry tourist visa is valid for up to 30 days though.

The following countries can arrange a single-entry tourist visa upon arrival at the visa booth; Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan Territory, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the USA.

Before you receive this single-entry Indonesia visa your passport should be valid for at least another 6 months and you have correctly filled out the embarkation/disembarkation card upon arrival. It cost US $25 for a 30-day single entry visa and US$10 for a 7-day visa.

Nationals who carry this permit are not allowed to extend or convert this visa. Every day that you stay longer until 60 days will cost USD $20 and after these 60 days it will cost 25.000.000 rupiah or a 5 years prison sentence. If you want to stay longer your best option is to buy a return ticket to Singapore.

You then go through the same procedure of a single-entry tourist visa upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport.

There are even nationalities who don’t need an Indonesia visa at all. They’ll receive a visa free permit. Here is a small list of those countries; Nationals from Chile, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Peru, Macao, Morocco, Brunei, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam don’t need the 30-day visa for staying in Bali. They are issued a maximum 30-day visa free permit.

This visa is also not extendable or convertible into another form of Indonesia visa. For this visa free permit count the same rules as for those holding a single-entry visa. Every day that you stay longer until 60 days will cost USD $20 and after these 60 days it will cost 25.000.000 rupiah or a 5 years prison sentence.

When you have come at the end of your holiday on Bali the airport charges tax of 150.000 Indonesian rupiah. When you take a domestic flight you’ll pay 30.000 Indonesian rupiah.

Matt Verbaan loves to give you practical travel insights and shares his experiences of traveling to and on the amazing island Bali.
