Mexican Bullfighting has been a source of achievement and entertainment for thousands of years. This is said to be the ultimate test between man and beast. Mexican Bullfighting is an extremely dangerous sport. 90% of the individuals who come to watch Mexican Bullfighting are American tourists. The largest bullfighting arena is The Monumental Plaza Mexico, holding 60,000 spectators for each event.

The bullfighter is called the Matador. He is dressed in elegant clothing and a sombrero. He used a bright red cloth to attract the bull. The word Matador means “ to kill”. The Matador is armed with a small knife to fight the bull. The ears and tail of the bull are cut off in victory. However, a third of all Matadors are killed in the ring by a bull they couldn’t defeat.

Mexican Bullfighting is a sport that combines strength, skill, agility, and fearlessness. However, many wonder if the bull has a fair chance of winning in the ring. There are reports that the bulls are treated quite cruelty prior to a fight. They are starved for several days leaving them weak. They may have been drugged with tranquilizers or given a large amount of laxatives. Others are confined in the dark for weeks, then released into the bright sunlight to fight. Barcelona is located on the Northeastern Spanish coastline, in a region of the country called Catalonia.
