The Vanagon Weekender is the most convenient, spacey and well configured camper van ever used. The 1983-1991 Vanagon Weekenders have water-cooled horizontally opposed engine with Digifant electronic fuel injection and 90HP @ 4800RPM that are 1.9 liter (1983-1985) and a 2.1 liter (1986-1991). Vanagon Weekender camper van attributes a 4-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission with electronic ignition, dynamic oil pressure system, and a thermostatically controlled 2-speed electric radiator fan. The towing capacity of the van is hampered due to the size of its engine but the van can prove a greater efficient in towing small trailers if equipped with brakes. Variants of Volkswagen Euro van

In the United States the Volkswagen Eurovan is called as Eurovan. It is accessible in all Europe. There are various versions of the van. Eurovan is being manufactured for both residential and commercial use. Although they are no longer being sold in the US, since 1991, merely the commuter version was exported to the Sates. There were a few exceptions that were shipped to Winnebago for adaptation to Campers.

In Europe, commuter version includes the Caravelle, a bus-like van that seats up to nine; the Multivan, which is prepared for camping in a relatively self-effacing manner (it does have a fridge and cot, save for cupboards, bathe, or small screen set); and the full-featured camping van, known as the California in Europe.

In United Kingdom and Ireland, the assortment is sold under the Transporter brand name.

In the United States, the variants are:

  • The 7-seater Eurovan GLS.
  • The Eurovan MV. Where the seats on the second row face the rear. The third row can be transformed to a 2 person bed. It also has a petite DC refrigerator.
  • The Eurovan MV Weekender. It can be transformed to a 2 person bed. There is a folding table too provided. There are curtain to cover up all the windows neatly. (more…)
